Subject: PefkohoriMessage: Hi, me again. Is it worth while hiring a car when in Pefkohori, what other beaches and sites are worth visiting in the area. Thanks for all the other replies. |

| Zeljko 31/5/2001 11:19:02 | RE: PefkohoriMessage: There is a lot of small places around Pefkohori worth to see, and all are very close...so you won't need to drive to much. Every villagge is a story for itself + the night life in Pefkohori is not that good...the real places for going out are a little far from Pefkohori, probablly becouse of noise from discoteques. |

| Noreen 09/6/2001 13:44:34 | RE: PefkohoriMessage: I've just got back from Pefkohori. Had a great time. First time in Greece and was quite worried what it would be like. Heard stories about Greece being basic and nothing going on. Pefkohori is a small town, (easy walk from one end to the other) and has two main streets. One running in the town centre full of tourist shops, bars, restaurants and car hire facs. Everything you could want can be brought in their Supermarkets (especially English products). The other road runs along the beach and has mostly restaurants and bars and clubs. The town is just beginning to become more lively and the lively bars are opening. We hired a car for 4 days - lovely beach "Golden Beach" just outside town. Very nice, has bar, toilet and has man selling beautiful donoughts twice a day! Also watersports on beach, better than beach in Pefkohori! (mostly shingle) - The apartments are all clean and the locals very friendly. All speaking very good English. Nearest cash machine is in Hanioti, the next town up, (very commercialised) - you can get there by taxi easy. I hope you all have as good a time as we did! I'm very jealous, I want to go back!! |
