Subject: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Hi, I'm going to Hanioti at the start of June with my girlfriend and, although it might sound like a silly question, would like to know if we need to worry about mosquitos?! Also, is anyone else going out on the 11th, not sure where we're staying yet! Cheers, Chris |
| Richy 15/5/2001 10:39:44 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Hi, i went to Greece last year and although i went in July, Mosquitoes are a bugger. Best thing to do is to get one of those plug in killer things as this appears to be the only way to stop them from eating you. |
| Karen 15/5/2001 12:32:50 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Hi, We are going to Hanioti on June 14th, I was in Kefalonia last year and there were bugs but like the previous person that the plug in thingy worked pretty well at keeping the little blighters away!! |
| Nicki 17/5/2001 06:30:07 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: oooh Im going to Hanioti on June 14th too! are you getting the ridiculously early 5.40am plane from gatwick?? | Chris 17/5/2001 06:34:03 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Don't know anything about the Blue Sky i'm afraid (sounds nice though!)..and we've got a much more respectable 14.30 flight - phew! Have a cool time, maybe see you there!! - Chris (who will be armed with mosquito 'stuff') |
| Karen 17/5/2001 06:37:56 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Hello Luckily we are flying to Halkidiki at the more respectable time of 5.00pm (I think its the first time I have ever flown at a civilised hour!) We are staying at the Dionssys studios (I think I have spelt that wrong!!) Its 4 weeks today and I am counting!!! Karen |
| Nicki 17/5/2001 06:39:31 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: OK see you there! (will you be wearing a fly net over yourself? will help to know so I can spot you) Ive just read one of the ancient messages on this board, mentions "no night clubs"!!!! Oh my god, the brochures were LYING. trauma. |
| Nicki 17/5/2001 06:41:19 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Sorry my last message doesnt make sense, the fly net reference was to Chris, not Karen! Heard of Dionnsysysysysyyssss studios and think they were lovely! |
| Chris 17/5/2001 06:47:07 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Yep, i'll be there in my 'instant self-assembly Mosqui-go' net. they're really fashonable i've heard....or maybe not. No night clubs either eh?! Looks like the local taxi service will get well used then! C. |
| lynn holroyd 04/7/2001 07:30:05 | Re: Angelo ApartmentsMessage: Hi, We're going to Hanioti (boyfriend & I)to the Angelo Apts on 2 August. Does anyone know what it's like? I've heard mixed reports about the nightlife. |
| Nicki 04/7/2001 10:08:49 | RE: Hanioti in June & bugs!Message: Hi Lynn Stayed right next door to the Angelo apts. I dont know what it is like inside but it has a large complex and a swimming pool. Didnt use the swimming pool but it looked ok! Angelo has a nightclub but when I went in the middle of June it was pretty much deserted, altho in August it will prob be livelier. Lots of bars in Hanioti open till quite late most nights, busier at weekend. They are mostly drinking bars (cocktails etc) rather than discos. There is a nightclub on the main road though and a club called No No's 40 mins walk away in Pefkohori. Hotels (Blue Sky and Dionysos) can get lively later at night! |
