Subject: Paliouri ?

Message:
Has anyone been to Paliouri in Halkidiki? We are travelling there in June but nobody I know has been (or heard of) this resort!
We have been to most of the Islands but not this part of Greece.

Ive heard of it, I think its near Hanioti and Pefkohori - if it is then I read in a brochure that if you stay in one of those 3 resorts, you can enjoy all three of them easily by bus, taxis, hire car etc.

I could be thinking of another place though!

Not entirely so. There are two pools, the smaller one is much less crowded and we got loungers even getting there mid morning, the bigger problem is getting some shade, if all else fails, there are some small trees at the back of the pool that are suitable, especially later in the afternoon. Try the beach, it's very good and long and sandy, only 10 minutes away.

Hi Andy,

We have two kiddies ages 6&7. We had two weeks at Chrousso Village last June. There are three kids clubs depending on age, toddlers, 3-6s and 7-10s I think, or something like that. They seem to be run by young girls who are training to be reps or are reps, they look after the young ones very well and are well aware of things like keeping them covered or in the shade or well sun-creamed. There is usually something each afternoon, with a few evening dos. There is also a thing called "early suppers" where the reps take the kids to the restaurant for dinner early in the evening, the mums & dads then pick them up a little later. There's disco's for the kids in the early evening also, a "talent night", face painting, drink making, lots of different activities that alternate on a fortnightly timescale. Our kids loved it. There are two small playgrounds with slides and swings and climbing things, be careful here there was a lot of cut heads and bumps as the kids got in the way of the swings. The only adult entertainment is a weekly "Greek Night",.. the food is great but the dancers are well cheesy.

To Richard

thanks very much for all the info. My children read it and have almost got their suitcases packed.[we are not going until June 2002]!!!!!The kids entertainment sounds pretty good. We are already planning our days by the pool with our own entertainment [beer, shades &sun oil]!!!
We fly from Birmingham on the 27th for 2 weeks. Anyone else reading this going at the same time?
Thanks again.
Andy
